Changing Default Runway and Utility Fall Textures??

Featured Replies

FSX, XP-SP2My system is using the #140 texture set for utility areas, grass beside roads (casement/berm), and isn areas where grass has been specified. The Autumn season is where it looks quite bad (brown). Is there a default setting someplace that would allow changing to the #139 texture set for these areas. Also all of the airports now have a bright brown texture that appears to be from the #140 set also. Is there a common place to force the runway skirting to use the #139 set as well?Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yoke

I found my problem. Thanks to Holger, for the second time, winter comes early to my area thanks to Microsoft. I thought I was using Fall textures but Winter was in use. So I used Gimp (free paint program) to alter the xxxb2wi1>5.BGLs in World textures to my taste. The "burn" function in Gimp gave me the desired results. I change both #140 ans #139. Probably do not need both but I was tired of fiddling around.Near Pittsburgh, PA.Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yokeWINTERhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/178976.jpgFall/Autumnhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/178977.jpgFall/Autumnhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/178978.jpg
