November 5, 200817 yr Can they affect frame rates? Is it better to have several small excludes or one large one? I'm working on some scenery and it seems like I'm getting stuttering that I've never had before with this particular airport. I'm using AFX.
November 5, 200817 yr Commercial Member Hi,Of course any additional BGL file you add will cause some extra work and can thus affect performance. But for an exclude I don't think you can really notice the difference. In general it should improve the performance as well, as you are removing things. November 7, 200817 yr Author Hi RickOne of the things you can try is to go to your scenery folder where the excludes are and with each xxxx.bgl simply append .NO or .HOLD (or whatever you wish) which will remove them from the compilation and you can quickly tell if there is an effect from those particular files.Don't forget to remove the additional suffix later on!If you are adding scenery models check the bgl(s) for those as well in the same way. It saves having to delete and rebuild things.CheersMike
