Navy ships for FS2004

Featured Replies

Hi guys!I'm working on a modern carrier strike group scenery and I'm looking for some nice U.S. Navy ship objects (cruisers, destroyers, subs...). I need objects with the xml and mdl files to compile them with BGLComp.Something like 'usn2002.zip' (located here at AVSIM) would be great but this one is for FS2002 and doesn't contain the xml and mdl files.Do you know where I could find such scenery objects for FS2004?Thanks for your help!

Usually the XML and MDL files are something that the developer of an object keeps as part of "his" work. Best bet would be to design your own or if you find some models you like, try asking the developer if he would be interested in sharing. You might also try using FSX, with a small addon program called "aicarriers", you can place a moving, landable carrier strike group anywhere in the world, it is a blast.Regards, MichaelKDFW

Thanks for your answer and the awesome screenshot.GreetsJ.R.

Hi,Go to fs-shipyards.org. You will find a whole bunch of static and AI vessels. The static vessels can be placed anywhere in the world. Decompile the bgl with bglxml, change the coordinates to where ever you want to place your vessel and compile again using bglcomp.Roby

HeyMany many thanks, Roby!I tried it and - guess what - it's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again, mate.J.R.
