Hello!This might be the 100 time this Q comes up her!, but I'm new and do need help.I want to make a hill by myself in MSFS, just to see that it works. My problem is that I dont know how the "in-data" should be formated.I have a few clues about the ".inf" file and I think I know how it works but i need to put some data in it too.My goal is to make new and good mesh over Sweden since I have a complete set of elevation data with 50m spaning and an tolerance of +- 2.5 m.Unfortenly this is not compatible with MSFS so I have to take the long road, and it starts with just one man made hill.I would realy apreciate if someone could give me a hand here!!Regards Anders from Sweden.

Hi Anders:sounds to me like a case for MicroDEM; it is a freeware GIS (Geographic Information System) and reads many different file/data formats. Thanks to John Childs, its output format can be translated into the FS binary file system, which, in turn, can be compiled with the FS SDK utilities.MicroDEM might seem a bit intimidating at first but you really only need a half dozen of its hundreds of functions. This mismatch leads to steep cliffs where they shouldn't be, islands with obviously incorrect mesh positioning, etc. It's fairly easy to adjust but it's a bit tedious. Have a look at the thread below, in which I outline the steps for making these adjustments. If you need more info, the Canada meshes made by Gilles Gauthier and myself (Holger Sandmann) have brief descriptions and contain our respective email addresses.
