Making a Retro Sim from FS2k2?

Featured Replies

There is a very nice FS2k2 Junkers 52 at the avsim library:http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=14324Panel, VC, custom sounds, 1935 Lufthansa colors. Fun to fly, black smoke is a bit unrealistic (too dense).Hope this is what you're looking for.Alex

I'm wondering about the possibility that FS2K2 might experience a performance boost (not that my system really needs it) because so much of the technology that FS2K2 calculates for just didn't exist back in those days. Also, there would be much smaller major airports and smaller cities, autogen would be more relaxed - well, maybe not, as there would certainly be more trees! Recreating some of those golden age cross country races, mail runs, and so on would be quite fun, especially on-line. I hope some talented people out there see this thread and give it some serious thought.
