AFCAD Help! Please!!!

Featured Replies

I imported some AFCAD airport files and saved them as it say on the instructions. Now, my problem is the there is no traffic in any of the airports I imported and when I try to go to the specific airports it shows on the listing but it does not show runway or gate. See the image attached:

That's exactly what I'm getting. What files did you import?

I had this problem also but have since found the source. When you edit with AFCAD, it will back-up your original file. You must go into scenerydb/afdfiles/scenery and find which bgl is for the airport in question. Just rename the file with the extension ORIGINAL, back to .bgl You can find the afd file name using AFCAD.This should make it right as it did mine.Kev

Thanx Kev, that worked out perfect. I owe you one!!!

Mine does exactly the same thing - until I quit and restart FS, and then all the gates are back again. Remember to do this each time you edit an airport in AFCAD.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

The reason may be that none of you created Runway paths for the AI traffic. I just turned KGAI into a towered airport. Created all the taxiways, holdshorts, parking, and runway paths for this one runway airport. Now it works perfectly. Every thing is listed. And yes. Of course you will need to close and then restart Flight SimulatorPete
