May 14, 200224 yr I noticed that if you seperate the parking you can have ground take you closer to were you want to park. At KPDX I have my gates ie gate A 1, gate C 2... then I have NE parking, N parking, SE parking S parking and so on. When I landed in my Archer and switched to ground I had the option to taxi to gates, NE parking, N parking and so forth. So if you break up your parking instead of everything being parking you can choose your parking. It didn't break down the gates. Too bad, if it did you could at least choose the terminal. So for those adding gates & parking, it would be nice if you could seperate it into different areas and use gates at the terminals instead of parking.John
May 14, 200224 yr Author Great tip - thanks! Too bad they didn't do that for Terminal A, Terminal B, etc.-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
May 15, 200224 yr Doesn't FS2K2 reserve a position at each parking type for the players plane? If it does, MS probably found it would waste too many gates (and for the default airports I tend to agree).
May 15, 200224 yr Author But it would be really nice for our edited airports to have one spot free at each terminal. :)-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
