May 14, 200224 yr Author 1. Make sure you have an AC#50 in your aircraft.txt file.2. The first plan takes over 5 hours, and cannot be a 2 hour repeat. The others are very close to taking 2 hours; try changing them to a 4 hr repeat.3. How did you get your arrival times? - did you let TTools compile the BGL and then decompile it? If not, the times may not be correct.4. Remember (when testing) to go to World/Time and set your time according to the GMT time (on the right), not local time (on the left).5. How far is KFCI from RIC2? They must be at least 20 miles apart or so.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
May 15, 200224 yr Thanks Tom ... for bearing with me ... I know this is what makes our hobby so special ... but, still, a big thanks! I'll get this solved ...> 1. Make sure you have an AC#50 in your aircraft.txt file. - got it.> 2. The first plan takes over 5 hours, and cannot be a 2 hour repeat. The others are very close to taking 2 hours; try changing them to a 4 hr repeat. - I may be way off, but I thought I was scheduling these legs for about 20 minutes (the airport is about 15 miles away, as the crow flies).> 3. How did you get your arrival times? - did you let TTools compile the BGL and then decompile it? If not, the times may not be correct. - Yes, this is a decompile from TTools (I did enter an estimate, but ran the compiler, and this is what I got back from the decompile).> 4. Remember (when testing) to go to World/Time and set your time according to the GMT time (on the right), not local time (on the left). - I just got that info the other day; but I'm resetting my FS clock to test.> 5. How far is KFCI from RIC2? They must be at least 20 miles apart or so. - It is about 15 miles; but the instruction in TTools says you can set up to depart and return to the same airport (like a "pattern" flight ... ). Have you found this to be in error? Also, I can't seem to find TTools v1.2 in the library .... I think I am using 1.1. You think that may make a difference? Thanks again !
May 15, 200224 yr Author >Thanks Tom ... for bearing with me ... I know this is what >makes our hobby so special ... but, still, a big thanks! No problem.> - I may be way off, but I thought I was scheduling these >legs for about 20 minutes (the airport is about 15 miles >away, as the crow flies). The repeat time is based on the total flight time (both directions), not the time of each leg. The first flight you list leaves at 01:01:18 and returns back at 05:23:44, more than 4 hours later. Thus the smallest repeat time allowable is 6 hrs.> - It is about 15 miles; but the instruction in TTools >says you can set up to depart and return to the same airport >(like a "pattern" flight ... ). Have you found this to be >in error? No, your pattern flight should be OK, but the other 3 KFCI-RIC2 flight plans may not work at all.>Also, I can't seem to find TTools v1.2 in the library .... I >think I am using 1.1. You think that may make a difference? No, not unless you are using weekly flight plans, which you aren't. You can get it from the AVSIM must have file list.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
