AFCAD & assign AI planes to certain parking?

Featured Replies

Ok I've added the AI Aircraft I want with TTools and a GUI program and its working. Next I've added GA parking areas to the space at the Airport I want and have AI Aircraft showing up there on startup. Now how do I get the AI Aircraft I have added to go to these new parking space's?I have made the spaces the same as the ones that they do show up in but they still only show up in the same places as they were before I used AFCAD, which is at the other end of the Airport.

Hi,Have a look at the stand listing from the top menu in AFCAD. The ones at the top get filled first so if you want, say stand 31, to be used first move that, with mouse click and drag, to the top and then it will be used by the first aircraft of that size, or smaller.Rgds Ron

Thanks for the reply. I messed with that a bit and I got most of the aircraft where I wanted them but isn't there something too about a sizing thing in a aircraft that will only let it go to a certian size area. For example, I have a plane that I created in FSDS, its a small inline two seater about the size of a Cessna but it only will park at a large parking area for some reason I think I read something about one of the MS SDK's that can allow you to change that read size in the MDL?

Yes, all of my FSDS aircraft seem to have a radius of 52.5 feet. The answer to your question is contained in the thread "One of our problems has been solved with the latest SDK". You'll need to use a hex editor to change the radius, though. Keep in mind that the first post in that thread is for GMAX aircraft; the one for FSDS planes is farther down in the thread.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Thanks for the reply Tom. I read that thread and downloaded the SDK and the Hex editor mentioned and for the life of me I couldn't figure it out, little to bit much over my head. I spent about three hours on it going over everything there and tried a few different editors too but I wasn't any closer to an answer as when before I started.Perhaps someone will some day create a GUI program for it.Thanks anyway.
