June 7, 200223 yr Tried using TT for the first time this morning and everything was fine, for awhile . . . [http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=read_count&om=5101&forum=DCForumID8]After all this tinkering and now, extreme frustration, I think I'll go fly or awhile and cheer myself up.Perhaps someone will have a miracle for me when i check back.regards,Heather
June 7, 200223 yr Well, I don't think you need to reinstall FS2002 - yet.Get the default traffic.bgl file from the FS CD's and overwrite your existing one. Then reinstall TTools to it's own folder. Now decompile the bgl file. Without making any changes, try to recompile it.If you still get errors, try running the compiler in Win98 compatibility mode, if you are running WinXP. I don't know how to do this, though...Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
June 8, 200223 yr Thank You!!!That worked! Copied over the corrupted traffic.bgl with the original default one. Took care of the problem. Now I just wish I knew what I did wrong in the first place so that I won't create this problem again.I DID retrace my steps and can tell you what I did if that will give you an idea. From the downloaded file for "CYFD - Brantford, Ontario, Canada"Part of their instructions are:Included in the zip file here are:CYFDAirports.txt - Add this this to your airports listCYFDFlightPlans.txt - Add this to your Flight Plans with TToolsCYFD1.txt - Use AFCAD to import this file. I took the contents of this text file, using notepad of course and pasted it obto the end of the traffic text.Is that where I went wrong? This is the first download where I have actually had to add something to the traffic file.Is it supposed to be collated into a correct place? At the beginning of the file? What?I sure don't want a repeat of this problem. Here is what I added:AC#15,N1234,30%,24Hr,IFR,09:00,00:00:00,065,F,556,CYOW,15:00,00:00:00,065,F,464,CYFDAC#34,N1234,30%,24Hr,IFR,10:00,00:00:00,090,F,54,CYOW,16:00,00:00:00,090,F,33,CYFDAC#18,N1234,30%,24Hr,IFR,12:15,00:00:00,055,F,12,CYHM,15:00,00:00:00,055,F,33,CYFDAC#22,N1234,30%,24Hr,IFR,07:00,00:00:00,098,F,38,CYFD,17:00,00:00:00,098,F,88,CYTZAC#2,N1234,30%,24Hr,IFR,14:00,00:00:00,075,F,908,CYXU,19:00,00:00:00,075,F,838,CYFDAC#22,N1264,50%,12Hr,VFR,05:51:55,10:07:15,085,F,8765,CYFD,11:52:01,16:07:20,095,F,8764,CYTZAC#34,N61328,3%,12Hr,VFR,05:24:46,08:54:44,035,F,0090,CYTZ,11:24:41,14:54:39,045,F,0091,CYFDAC#20,N47448,18%,6Hr,VFR,00:02:28,02:15:51,085,F,1851,CYKF,03:02:31,05:15:53,095,F,1850,CYFDAC#35,N56344,53%,6Hr,VFR,02:52:53,04:57:55,075,F,0684,CYKF,05:52:56,07:57:57,085,F,0683,CYFDAgain, thanks for at least getting me back to square one.Sincerely,Heather
June 8, 200223 yr Check and make sure that you have aircraft in aircrafts.txt that match those numbers.Rodders
June 8, 200223 yr Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.Got things working again by pasting over the traffic.bgl file with the original one from FS2002.Fortunately, I had only made one entry into it so not much was lost and I can start over.Lee Swordy was kind enough to send me a later version of TT than I was using so perhaps this problem will not repeat itself. And thanks for that tip Rodders, I'll certainly make a note of it.Again, thank you.Sincerely,Heather
