ATC using TAIL number for AI

Featured Replies

I am using AI traffic tool ( very good program) and I assign tail numbers to general aviation planes like the Cessna 182 for ATC to use. When I fly the same Cessna with my own tail number (diff from the AI number) I notice the AI aircraft has my number painted on the tail even though ATC uses the number assigned in the AI program. Is this correct and is there a work around? Hope you understandThanksBill

The workaround would be to copy the aircraft to a new folder, change the Title= line in the aircraft.cfg file to something like AI Cessna Skylane, and use that for your AI aircraft. Then you can fly the original one. Change the AI aircraft's reg no. to the number you use in AI Traffic for that plane. Unfortunately, the reg no. painted on the plane won't change, so you'll have to use the same reg no. in AI Traffic for all flights of this plane. A significant limitation, I agree...Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
