Stacking on taxiway

Featured Replies

Hello there, I am new to this AI thing, as I have just discovered FS2002. My question is I fly out from YPPH and have my traffic set at 33% due to a lowly P3/600 notebook. I see that aircraft are landing ok, but when I start to taxi to the holding point of a respective runway, there are aircraft already there (3 or 4) and 1 (usually a 747) on the other taxiway, but they never take off. When I pull up in the Q, the aircraft doesnt go onto the runway, even tho there are no aircraft on finals. Am I missing something here? Sorry for the possibly silly question. Thanks a million Chris

It appears the airport AI traffic design has a flaw in it.Download AFCAD 1.22 and open up the airport in question. At that hold short point (the red dot), place a regular node (blue dot) about 70 ft farther away from the runway, on the taxiway leading to that runway. Also, make sure that the red hold short node is less than 220 ft from the edge of the runway. You can measure distance by right clicking at one point, selecting Measure Distance, and moving the mouse to the other point (distance is displayed below). This should hopefully fix this problem.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
