AI flights dynamics?

Featured Replies

Hi all. I'm looking for the method to:1- Modify the fight dynamics of an a/c by importing those of an other similar a/c. (for better AI behavior)2- To be able to keep the flying the original a/c with its genuine fl. dyna. while having access to the modified one for the AI.I'm pretty shure these tips were available at FSVC 2002 Tips & Tricks at a time but they don't seam to be there any more. I did a search on this forum for it but haven't found the right thread :-(Thanks for any help or linksHugo

I would think, if the aircraft flew aerodynamically correct, then it should fly correctly whether you are piloting or it was being piloted by the AI. There are several aerodynamic updates for the fs2002 default in the library. There are also updated aerodynamics for the Project AI aircraft at http://www.projectai.com/ , file library, miscellaneous files. If you want two sets of aerodynamics, then you will have to double your aircraft library, rename one set of aircraft titles, and decompile your AI (traffic.bgl) file, update the aircraft.txt file, change the flightplans.txt file with the new aircraft number from the aircraft.txt file.

Thanks a lot for your reply. With your help I was able to acheive what I was after. That is to be able to fly the normal a/c on its genuine flights characteristics while the AI performs it act with different ones. Concerning transporting one aircraft flight dynamics onto an other one of the same type, I think I know how now but have yet to try it.Thanks for your help. Much appreciate.Hugo
