August 3, 200223 yr HI allWas wondering if anybody else has this problem. When opening KBGM with TTools (either version) I notice that KBGM has no gates, taxiways or runways. If I make them, the program says the file has been saved. But after re-indexing then reopening the airport, nothing has changed. It is as if the airport file were read-only. But that is not the case. Other airports work just fine.Warren
August 3, 200223 yr Author That usually means you have a backup file somewhere in your FS installation that still ends in .bgl. Find that AFD file (they are normally in FS2002/Scenedb/AFDFiles/Scenery) and rename it to end with somthing else (like xxx.bgl.orig). If other AFD files don't have backups ending in .bgl then they will save and open just fine.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
August 5, 200223 yr Hi TomThanks for the info. I deleted both files for USNEAF03, the bgl and the original. I then extracted the orginal file from the CD. Upon opening. I noticed that there were no gates, runways or taxiways deliniated.Actually the only objects were 2 blank runways, the tower and the ref point. For a few minutes, I was able to save everything, but had to click on the save button twice. Then all of the sudden it stopped saving connecting lines. This is also happening at KADW (Andrews AFB)Warren
August 5, 200223 yr Author Export the airports you are having problems with, and look in the file (with Notepad) for nodes or gate entries that have "gibberish" in them (like #J). Change these to 0.00 (in the same format as the others),and import the file. That spot(s) will be at the airport ref point, and can be moved or deleted. Also, if you email Lee Swordy he'll send you a later version that fixes this.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
