August 8, 200223 yr I have noticed that when an AI aircraft taxi along a straight line, it will still slow down substantially when approaching a node, even though it will not turn at that node but continue straight on.My question is, do any of the various speed entry "windows" in Taxispeed control this "node deceleration" while moving in a straight line?Stamatis
August 9, 200223 yr Author Not in TaxiSpeed, but in AI Speed you can set the speed of gentle and sharp turns. The nodes present in straight runs are considered "gentle turns". It got so bad at one point I created two taxiway lines separated only by a couple of feet, on which the "express" aircraft could bypass all the nodes leading to gates. This improved their speed greatly, at the cost of some interference between planes. My only other advice is to avoid the "let's add 20 nodes to each turn to get a smooth curve" syndrome - I have no more than 3 nodes in a turn.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
