RealityXP v FSFlightMax

Featured Replies

Has anybody done a comparison between the two, and what do you recommend?RegardsRussell Jourdain

Well, to be honest, these 2 products are not really in competition with one another. Instead, they complement one another. The RealityXP avionics package has new Audio panel, NAV/COM, TXP, and GPS. The FSFlightMax product is a multifunctional display. It is not a radio stack. Therefore, it can present data that the Apollo radios/GPS cannot. Even with the Apollo GPS, you don't get lightning strikes, radar, or TCAD. However, the FlightMax doesn't have it's own database and is not a GPS.Again, these products complement one another quite well. The decision to purchase one or the other would depend on what the individual most wants/needs out of MSFS. Do you want a realistic radio stack with a realistic GPS? Or, do you want a realistic MFD with many features? Ultimately, if finances allow, purchasing both is the best decision.
