Unable to get taxiways drawn at CYVR

Recommended Posts

Guest

Developing gates at CYVR using FS2002 and "o" to place the gate. When I move to AFCAD and try to link the gates to taxiways the program will not allow. The line forms but disappears immediately I remove my finger off the button. If I "press" the left mouse button and move my mouse a line looking like a taxiway forms from the cursor to a point way off the top LH corner of the map. Take my finger off the left mouse button and it disappears. It will not allow me to install any nodes. I removed AFCAD and re-installed without any improvement. Unfortunately I forgot to back up the original CYVR. This seems only to occur with CYVR. attached is my "work in progress". Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with CYYC so I'm waiting to see the answer.

1. Export the airport2. Open it up in a textfile3. Search for some garbage characters (# etc).4. Delete the line with the garbage.5. Import the airport. If you save every time you add a new node, you won't run into this problem.Andre

It's safest to set the garbage characters to zero, rather than deleting the entire line. BTW, you can email Lee Swordy for a new version that avoids this problem.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
