Isn't this done automatically, provided your AI aircraft are GMAX? I'm mostly using PAI aircraft and they light up nicely!Vince

In FS2002 the only lights that will work during daylight hours are the lights of the plane that you are in command of. This includes beacon, nav, strobe and landing lights. Put yourself in an airplane and then select spot mode. Now use the keyboard commands (L and Ctl L) to activate various lights and you will see them working. However, if you look around at ALL the other airplanes that are active incuding Defaults, PAI, and 3rd party aircraft no lights are on. Its odd that I can turn the lights on of the PAI 727-200 United or any AI Aircraft for that matter as long as I am inside that airplane but, FS2002 can't turn them on if its being used as a AI aircraft.

Well... it seems to me that it could [switch on the lights], but it won't. Like Johan said, FS doesn't switch on lights during daytime but it is perfectly capable to do so at night. Unfortunately it's definition of night is "pitch black" because I find that in twilight lights stay off as well.... maybe someone could work out a patch, but I'm afraid it's too deep in FS2K2s internals. :-(Vince
