Deleting overlays: How?

Featured Replies

Hi there,i installed AFCADs for EDDF (it included overlays FRA1, FRA2, FRA3, FRA4 and the base layer EDDF).Now i have FRA1, FRA2, FRA3, FRA4 and EDDF (the original) in my airport list, and if i want to call Frankfurt Airport on my approach to Frankfurt, i have now 5 Airport that i can call (EDDF, FRA1, FRA2...).OK. How can i get rid of the overlay????Pleas help, its driving me crazy. Thanks,Bodo

Search your fs2002scenedbAFDFILESScenery folder for the area that you modified. You will have two files, see example:usncaf02.bglusncaf02.ORIGINALYour modified file will probably start with "eur.....". If you want to get rid of all the overlays just delete the updated *.bgl and rename the ORIGINAL to *.bgl. Restart fs2002 and let it stablize and everything should be back to default. If you also modified other airports within this scenery file, deleting the updated file will remove those also. However, sometimes it is better to start over with the default airport scenery file and update it anew.

-find eurnwafd.bgl on your installation cd and copy to desktop or rename SCENEDBAFDFILESSCENERYeurnwafd.ORIGINAL to windowsdesktopeurnwafd.bgl-open afcad and import eddf FROM THIS FILE-export eddf_original.txt to desktop-close file-import eddf_original.txt-save and so update your old eddf-if your flightplan.txt has fra1,fra2,... don't forget to redirect trafic to eddf
