Skyway 1900??

Recommended Posts

Guest DanWalloch

Lacking the artisitc talent and programs to paint airplanes, I was wondering if someone could be so kind and paint a Skyway, The Midwest Express Connection, texture for the PAI 1900D. I'm currently using Mike Stone's gmax 1900D but I'd like to free up some ram and replace them with fps friendlier planes.

Have you checked at Project AI to see if they might have a Beech 1900D in their Paint Kits, then look at unofficial downloads to see if someone might have done the textures you want?I use Mike's 1900D and think it is great and there are various paints jobs already done. Most of the strictly AI are consentrating on larger aircraft and not the commuters.

Talent? We don't need no steenking talent...I'm an engineer. I'm about as artistic as Atilla the Hun. But I went over to the Aircraft and Panel Design forum (a better place for this sort of request, anyway) and poked around until I found this tidbit:DXTbmp is whatcha need...http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/index.htmMartin will take care of your conversion needs, great site!I downloaded this reasonably-sized program (and the DLL package it needs, from the same site) and fired it up. Within a couple of hours I had my first re-paint, including Donald Duck in the co-pilot's seat. Mostly I was just cuttin' & pastin' and playing around.Give it a try. If you can work a mouse, you can re-paint an aircraft.
