Hi everyone,is it possible for the departure flight to use a different overlay than the inbound flight. I want the departure flight to taxi out of the parking stand in a different direction than than how it came in.Thanks & regards,Daniel

Sure. Include both runways in the overlay, and set one for takeoffs only and the other for landings only.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

I wazs wondering how the traffic would react at the departing runway, since you then would have one runway for two overlays.will two departing aircraft of two different runways get told to hold position for each other by the ground controller or would they ignore each other, since they are part of a different overlay?same for TO's,won't two aircraft of two different overlays take-off ignoring the aircraft of the other overlay, thus creating some very unrealistic situations?what about communications, you would have two diferrent voices on one frequezncy right?

It's always best to use one runway for each overlay. Hopefully the runways in use will be parallel, and thus not crossing each other. If you have lots of runways (i.e. 4 at LAX) you can assign 2 to each overlay (one for takeoffs, the other for landings).>I wazs wondering how the traffic would react at the >departing runway, since you then would have one runway for >two overlays.will two departing aircraft of two different >runways get told to hold position for each other by the >ground controller or would they ignore each other, since they >are part of a different overlay? They will ignore each other.same for TO's,won't two >aircraft of two different overlays take-off ignoring the >aircraft of the other overlay, thus creating some very >unrealistic situations?Yes.what about communications, you would >have two diferrent voices on one frequezncy right? True, but that is not as unrealistic as you may think - several towers have multiple controllers, occasionally on the same frequency.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
