This is real basic. In order to use AFCAD to alter some files, do I have to have FS2K2 running? Or can I use AFCAD and then start FS2K2?I've been only using Richard Mohammed's nice files and using the AFCAD Installer, but I need to alter some of the active runways at KLAS and KSEA.Thanks!Rick

No, you don't need FS2K2 running when using AFCAD.If fact, running FS2K2 and AFCAD simultaneously is only usefull when using the Slew function of FS2K2 to define parking positions, taxiways, etc.Rob

When saving AFCAD data back to FS2K2, you need to restart FS2K2 in order for it to take effect. I also sometimes get an error message when I Save out of AFCAD with FS2K2 running.As was pointed out, running the programs together allows you to use the FSUIPC link between the programs to position parking and taxiway positions directly from FS2K2 using keystrokes to "drop" nodes and gate positions into AFCAD.
