I have all the volume switches turned all the way up on every type of sound, including ATC, but when ATC talks i still can hardly hear them, is there a way to edit the sound.cfg or something like that to make it produce the sound louder? I assume you are talking about the volume controls outside of fs2002. Have you tried moving the sliders within fs2002 under options, settings, sound. Try moving the other sounds (engine, environment, cockpit, etc.) down vice up, then adjust your outside master volume to a comfortable level.
