can anyone please help me??

I have been seeing double ai aircraft for several months. So I got FS AI Scheduler and TTools Companion to explore the Flightplans.txt files. After bringing it into Excel (for easier sorting), this is what I found...http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e4b625e01c60206.jpgCan anyone please please help me on how I might eliminate these 'semi' dublicated flight plans? The only difference is the AC registration number, so the tools to help eliminate duplicates see this as a legitimate flight.Any ideas?? I am really tired of seeing two aircraft flying and taxing in formation - always!thanks

You can just edit the flightplans.txt file directly to eliminate duplicates. This works well when you just have a few of them, but if you have some huge number it's kind of tedious. If you are an Excel wiz, then you could write an Excel macro to sort through the file and eliminate duplicates. Export the file in CSF format (I think) and rename it flightplans.txt. Be sure to back up your original flightplans.txt first.

thanks for your response. Actually there are 32,000 of these semi duplicate entries, no way for a manual edit. Also, I am not a big excel guru. Can anyone else help? Is there another forum that maybe I can go to?anyone?? (If I have to I will have turn of my AI, just hate to do it)

What caused the double-aircraft problem? Did you use an auto-installer for AI traffic? Maybe that installer made a backup flightplans.txt file. I make a snapshot copy myself every month or so just because I'm paranoid.Rather than setting your AI slider to zero, I'd recommend re-installing your original traffic.bgl file from disk. You'll lose any updates you've made, but it sound like you're ready to dump them anyway.
