Trouble with AI Traffic

Featured Replies

I have been using a great freeware airport for FS 2002, LaGuardia in NYC, which replicated the airport just about right. The problem is that the AI Traffic uses jetways and aprons not where they are supposed to, The AI traffic taxis on the grass and turns off the concrete onto the grass.I think this happens also with my Simflyers Newark airport. Can I easily change where the traffic moves without changing the airport configuration?

In logical order:Download and install AFCAD and/or the AFD Installer.Contact the author or company and ask for an AFCAD file for the new airport. Or...Look at avsim (etc.) for an AFCAD file created by others for your new airports. Or...Download and install AFCAD and create your own new taxiway diagram.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Also note that at least one of the AFCAD files out there for Shehryar Ansari's"lga2002.zip" still needed to be slightly adjusted. I forget who's it was (and I don't want to incorrectly finger anyone) that I downloaded, but runway 4 was slightly off at the begining of the runway within the AFCAD file. I had to adjust the angle of the runway somewhat to get the AI traffic to enter at the correct place in the scenery. Also runway 31 contained two hold short points at which AI traffic would stop and just sit. Those needed to be removed.GW
