ai turning aroundon the runway

Featured Replies

I have a problem where every once in a while a plane wil pland and slow to taxi speeed on a runway but instead of continuing down to the next taxiway it will pull a u-turn on the runway & go backwards to exit the runway. Any ideas on why this happens or how to prevent this?

I too am wondering if there is a way to make this better. I am pretty new at this but it seems the AI aircraft don't like to go too far past their intended gate, ie: to the next taxi way and do sometimes turn around on the runway. (Shortest route) So far the only solution I have found is to give them more exits to choose from especially where they are widely spaced.Cheers, D8pilot

I have seen a mention of breaking up the runway into chunks between the exits to avoid this, but I haven't seen any details of the technique. What I do is place my exits so that this doesn't happen with the typical airliner.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
