June 30, 200322 yr At some 3rd party add-on airports I sometime see the pink progressive taxi line floating above the ground, or alternatively buried below the ground in which case it is not visible. Is there a way to fix this?Stamatis

July 2, 200322 yr Yes, that's right. I looked at KDCA, where I remember having this problem. I adjusted the height in AFCAD and the taxi lines showed up about 5-10 feet above the ground. To do this, bring up the offending airport in AFCAD. Right-click on the airport reference point (the pink cross in the center of the window) and adjust the altitude parameter. Make it higher for buried paths, or lower for floating paths.I also tried the altitude setting in airports.txt. This had no effect on the taxi lines.
July 2, 200322 yr Thnak you both for your replies, I will experiment accordingly.Make it higher for buried paths, or lower for floating paths.Shouldn't it be the other way around?Stamatis
July 3, 200322 yr If your taxi paths are buried, then the altitude in the AFCAD file is too low, so you need to make it higher. Similarly, if your taxi paths are floating, then the altitude is too high so you need to make it lower.Of course, if you want to bury your paths, they you should make it lower...
