May 22, 200224 yr The B200 and Hawker both have "Half Bank Hold" buttons on the Auto-Pilot. What exactly is this supposed to do, and is it modeled in Fly!2?-DK----Fly! II v230Dell 8200 P4/1.8G, 512MB RAM, Nvidia GF4 Ti4600 v28.83, WinXP Home Edition.CH Pro Pedals and Yoke USB.
May 22, 200224 yr DK,It does what the name says. During AP usage the maximum bank of the aircraft is reduced by a factor of 2, say from 30 to 15 degrees.Best regards,Henri
May 22, 200224 yr So if you don't press it and the A/P needs to make a sharp left turn, the plane will turn to the max bank angle? But if you press Half-Bank Hold, the plane will turn at a less steep angle? Is that what it does?Thanks.-DK----Fly! May 22, 200224 yr Exactly, in theory I think it is supposed to not shake the passengers ;-) with too steep turns...cheers
May 22, 200224 yr Author I'm not sure on this, but it may also mimic the Procedure Turn bank angle for IFR approaches. The regular angle is too steep for Procedure Turns. Randall Rocke
