June 4, 200224 yr Hi, everyone........Can someone please explain to me the difference between VNAV and LNAV and what they do on a Glare Panel (A/P). Also has anybody any idea what A/T stands for. (its on a stalk switch on a 737 A/P Panel). Thanks Guys for any infoJohn
June 4, 200224 yr John,In a nutshell:VNAV is Vertical Navigation, and it ties in with the FMC (flight management computer) to keep your aircraft at the planned altitude.LNAV is Lateral Navigation, and that's the part of the autopilot that follows the planned track, or flight path.A/T stands for AutoThrottle, and that's your best tool for engine management.
