June 18, 200223 yr Last week I bought a new 19 inch monitor and would like to increase Fly! 2's video resolution. Until now, I have been flying at 1024x768. Is there a way to increase the resolution to 1280x1024? If yes, how do I do that? The selection from the main screen at start up only goes up to 1024x768. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
June 18, 200223 yr G'day Danny,19 inch monitor; nice! :-)Officially Fly! II only supports up to 1024 x 768 but you can force it higher ( but there is a penalty ); all the interior views of the aircrafts are in 1024 x 768 so the instrument panel and side interior views will not fill the screen. The extra bit of the screen will be showing the scenery. If you just want to see the cockpit forward view (no panel) or external views then all you have to do is make the following three changes to Fly.iniset the two variables to the resolution you want.eg.pixx=1280pixy=1024and then set the variableaskUserForGraphic=0this bypasses the graphic setup screen on startup, so make sure that you have all the settings, high detail, renderer, card memory etc set before changing Fly.iniYou should be able to get some beaut screenshots. Love to see someCheers,Roger @YSSY Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
