July 21, 200223 yr I noticed that of all the aircraft in Fly2k, the Hawker is the only aircraft that doesn't seem to report altitude at all when flying with VATSIM (or SATCO as it used to be called). I recall reading this had to do with the way the transponder was coded and was curious if anyone knew or had a fix for this. Robert
July 21, 200223 yr Author Robert,This is no error, as the Hawker had no Mode C transponder in real life. I believe an update is available to add Mode C to the Hawker for online ATC, but I can't recall whether it was for the 2K version or the Fly!II version. It may be only for the Hawker (Peregrine) in Fly!II. Randall Rocke
July 23, 200223 yr Squawkbox for Fly!II now sets transponder with an SB menu item, rather than in the cockpit. This will give you Mode C regardless of the actual transponder capabilities. At least, that's what the SB manual says...- Dave Reed
July 23, 200223 yr Thanks for the info...but my question was regarding Fly2K (Fly 1) not Fly 2 :) Robert
July 23, 200223 yr Author Robert,Apparently no adaptation was ever made available for 2K. It may also be a coding issue, that with the advent of Fly!II, no one was willing to put time into. Randall Rocke
