edit file names in a POD file

Featured Replies

Hi,How can I edit/change file names (TM_xxx.S01 to TMxxx.S01 etc.) in a POD file ?What are the instructions in order to get it changed.Thank you,Wouter

AFAIK, you need to extract the files, rename the file(s) and compress it again. But there might be a utility for that purpose as well. I don't know of any, though.Dave

Hi folks,Look for Podcreator.I think it is in the Avsim lib.It is also on Simvol.GreetsLeen

Dave and Leen ,thank you for the quick replies .AFAICS Podcreator is not a tool to unpod (extract) POD files ...Anyway SimVol is a great site and european FLY! resource , do you know more ... Thanks ! Michael AKA Mike94 , do you read me ...! How did you change file names in a POD file, as you mentionedin a post of May about this subject. best regards,Wouter

Sorry Wouter,My answer was not complete. For extracting ( unpodding ) use Podview. For building a new POD use Podcreator.GreetsLeen

Have you tried the "Fly! Links Site" for more Fly! resources? Here's the link: www.avsim.com/flylinksCheers,

Leen, thanks for pointing to Podview , I have also DL-ed Volview version 1 from the Simvol web.So be now fully equipped to handle the pod files ... I hopeWouter
