'DirectX 8 T&L'

Featured Replies

I just want to pass along some good results after changing my setings. I have been involved with FlyII since the early beta tests. I started out with a 8 meg video card. It was as to be expected very slow and jerky. It worked however. :) Ive since then upgraded complete system. With my prior system I couldnt run with the directX T&L setting. After reading a post here in the last couple of days. I want to thank Roger Mazengarb for a suggestion he gave to another simmer here. http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...ewmode=threadedI decided to try the T&L setting and I'm very pleased with the results. I'm not a nit picker when it comes to FPS. But after choosing T&L. I've gained between 10-20 FPS. WOW!!!!!!!! This is even in some of the heavier graphic instense areas. I was seeing maybe high 20's fps with the dreaded 4 fps at times. Now thats all gone.I'm getting low 30's fps to high 40's fps just about anywhere I fly now. :)The realism now is excellent. I have to also thank Rich Harvey and the rest of the crew for the latest patch. FlyII is IMO by far the best Flight Sim.
