Just beautiful, Leen. I'm really impressed by this hocus pocus technique. You and Frederic have done some fine work. Can this technique be applied to other aircraft? I'm wondering if it would solve problems I've had repainting the Flyhawk when the same texture is used on more than one part. For example, I can't put registration numbers on one wing only because the same texture is used for both wings. Would MTHP help solve this?

Here I am back again Dan,I had a look inside the Flyhawk-POD.The ACM file has no entries for separate wing textures. There are various entries but NONE for the up/under/left/right-wings.Here is the entry for the bodyCAircraftModel143body1.000000-111719,1,1604,0v11,1,32,0,1,FLYHAWKME.TIF""0.17253,0.4647,-6.86878,0.982784,0.184594,0.00774226,0.0678182,0.4222530.125883,0.940007,-12.2802,0.996021,0.088912,0.00612181,0.279849,0.4035320.0520204,1.19449,-12.2052,0.929995,0.365677,0.0372762,0.276912,0.3935080.167885,0.474252,-6.75215,0.887102,0.459671,0.0418641,0.0632143,0.4218790.0735005,0.528759,-6.16046,0.430243,0.897453,0.0973104,0.0400502,0.419730.167885,0.474252,-6.75215,0.887102,0.459671,0.0418641,0.0632111,0.421880.0873797,4.02303,-16.6934,0.985328,0.170456,-0.00858924,0.452797,0.2820860.0490452,4.16226,-16.75,0.981886,0.18937 etc etc etc.In "BODY" the wings seem to be included. When you study the ACM file for Damn Yankee you`ll see separate entries for the flaps , the ailerons and many more parts( just like in the Skyhawk acm)Here are no entries for the wings either. Conclusion:Check the entries in the acm , they`ll tell you wich parts areMTHP sensitive.Just one little explanation:Frederic Mouflin did the first steps on the miraculous way of manipulating TIF`s and ACM`sMTHP ( Multi-Tif-Hocus-Pocus) is the name I gave this technique after having great results with it.Most of my repaints have no med- and low-res TIF`sCheck my latest repaints for this. You`ll find a high and a med res ACM but they are actually the same. When I am not clear enough , please ask again.Your FLY friend

Hi folks,Today I uploaded my repaint P51D Damn Yankee to the Library. This is the first repaint of the P51D having striping on the flaps and the elevator ANDThe striping on the flaps( all positions) is also visible seen from the canopy. On this model I used MTHP (Multi-Tif-Hocus-Pocus),this techniquewas originally developed by Frederic Mouflin ( France ).Fred used this MTHP for the flaps only.I used it also for the texture on the elevators, color of the spinnerthe wheel-covers and the canopy-framing.There are three tif-files , one tif-file 1024x1014 and two 512x512 controlled by a specially manipulated acm file. The quality of the looks of the plane stays the same seen from all distances and angles. When FLY2 chooses the Damn-Yankee for a PC controlled airplaine it has the same graphic quality at all angles and distances.I hope you`ll like it.:-beerchug
