May 25, 200224 yr I have three versions of a freeware GMAX racing Mustang ready to go. Once the air file is aquired, they will be uploaded.C'mon Bear. I know you're sitting on some Reno racing scenery. Give it up :)Roger Dial
May 25, 200224 yr They look terrific, Roger. Now we can really let the fur fly at Stead. Thanks for this and all of your many offerings,Greg
May 25, 200224 yr Wow!! They look incredible!! Love the P-51, but my heart still lies with the Hurricane as my favourite WWII aircraft :-)http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/edenw/fs_banner_je3.jpg Think highly of yourself, for the world takes you at your estimate -Anon
May 25, 200224 yr Oh boy... I have done a bit of the pylon racing in fs2002 and it really is good fun... Looking forward to seeing this release.P.S (Do we get a free pair of under-pants with this aircraft!)http://www.avsim.com/vfr_center/avsim_sig.jpg
May 25, 200224 yr NICE!!!!! I cannot wait! Any chance of doing the Modified Mustangs like Strega, Dago Red, and Voodoo Child! And maybe a Miss American repaint LOL
May 25, 200224 yr Oops, make that four. I also have converted Bill Browning's excellent Miss America Text-O-Matic template that he did for "Double Trouble".http://www.the-hangar.net/ma.jpgThe VC isn't complete yet and I will add it later, but with 9-view panels and the reflective wings and tail visible plus an accompanying "Race View" to go with the main panel, the VC will hardly be missed until I can finish it. I just have some tweaking to do on the "Race View".http://www.the-hangar.net/vc3.jpghttp://www.the-hangar.net/vc2.jpghttp://www.the-hangar.net/panel.jpgAhh, Steve! You've lifted a ton off my shoulders. I'm so glad you're doing the air file. This should be an absolute blast once some racing scenery can be found.Aidi,You say you've done some FS2002 pylon racing? I haven't been able to find any scenery and hoped that the planes would generate enough interest for someone to make or release some. Could you point me to some racing scenery?Best,Roger Dial
May 25, 200224 yr Mouth watering screenshots you have there :-) :-outta Francois :-wave

"At home in the wild"[link:avsim.com/alaska/alaska_051.htm|Don's Alaskan Bush Charters]"Beavers Lead the Way"[link:www.avsim.com/vfr_center/mainpages/vfr_flights_main_page.htm]VFR Flight Center]"Looking Good Outside"

http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gifhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3cef9c28523d5d2b.gif

________________________Francois A. May 25, 200224 yr Roger,The scenery i used was something that a friend of mine did for me. Very crude.... All we did was find a top down view of the pylon positions and literaly plonk some poles in the ground. I did some airfile mods along the lines of the Stegra and zoomed around the poles as low and fast as i could. Ill see if i still have the scenery files, but i fear they have long since disappeard.http://www.avsim.com/vfr_center/avsim_sig.jpg
May 25, 200224 yr Wow, those look fantastic! This will be a magnificent edition to any serious hangar! Glad to see that Steve is handling the AIR. Have yet to be dissapointed by your very fine work Steve. :)
May 25, 200224 yr RogerWhat are you doing ? ;-(I am a biz jet and turbo prop fan inclined towards instrument flight, Sids, Stars approaches etc.I know have one Fouga Magister, a Mirage F1, an L39C and a Mig 21.All cracking aircraft............And now YOURS :-)I am not suppoosed to blast around the sim skies as I appear to do with these jets.Dont make things worse by building my favourite prop the Mustang. Please do not release and instead get building some turboprop or other :-)joking apart Get a really great airfile for them ;-)Peter
May 27, 200224 yr Peter,You're absolutely right. What was I thinking? Hmm, maybe I should concentrate on a 400mph Lancair turboprop instead :)I saw one at Oshkosh last year zooming around and it gave me goosebumps.Roger
May 27, 200224 yr Aidan,Using LAGO's FSSE and a RARA (Reno Air Racing Assoc.) course blueprint, I was able to place the plyons within 1 or 2 meters of their actual positions in FS2002. I could upload this file into the AVSIM Library, but it requires that you have LAGO's FSSE scenery enhancer program installed to view it.I do not own nor have I used any of the scenery designer programs so I don't have clue as to how to design a scenery package for the race course at Reno that everyone could use! May 27, 200224 yr Bear,Darn, that's too bad. I saw some Reno screenshots you posted a few weeks and that's what planted the bug in my head again to do the Reno planes.GZR_Frenchy with the help of GZR_Sactarget's research, is close to finishing a course for Reno that I assume will be ready at the same time as the Mustangs. I've had a lot of fun testing it :)Roger "Airbuddha" Dial----------------------[link:www.the-hangar.net]The Hangarhttp://www.the-hangar.net/images/Airbuddha_Avatar.gif
