Cool palne!Did you land it light enough not to break that nose wheel? It look a bit flimsy to me.Love the pics hope to see more!

No worries, parked her with both of them where they should be :) Handles better as a tail dragger anyway! It looks pretty weak but it's not to bad, like any of the others you just have to be careful with it. Up inside the cowling it has 6-7 rubber doughnuts stacked one on the other that acts as a shock absorber. Thing you HAVE to do is hold it on the mains after you touch down, unlike a Cessna this one has a castering nose wheel. The tail will loose its lift about 20-25 kts and the nose comes down nice and gentle on it's own, if you let it drop before it's ready the vibration from that wheel trying to center up will vibrate your eyeballs out of your head! c ya :-waveBart [email protected]http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/bart_logo3.jpg

Great Pics, And the Airspeed is pretty good to for that kind of Plane Although , How can you get the airforce of your wing when your loitering around a house,Down here in Fort Worth, We can not even turn 360 degrees, Without the F-16`s escort back to Earth, Jeff Akins

That airspeed is no problem in this model Katana, I actually had it pulled back a bit. It's the C-1 model with a 125hp Continental, lil thing cruises right along!Out where I live there is nothing around but cornfields. Called the wife when we left Richmond and told her we'd be by in about 15 minutes, her and my little girl were in the front yard waiting for us to fly by, then they left and got the tickets for X-Men2 and we met up at the theatre :)Good movie BTW!c ya :-waveBart [email protected]http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/bart_logo3.jpg

Have you ever tried the 4-place Katana (DA-40) ?Harald

You'd love it, We did some manuvers over the lake, lazy 8's, pylon turns, steep turns, stalls etc. etc., flipped that thing around so much Ryan looked like a Garfield doll suction cupped to a car window a few times! Laughing and belting out a "Kewl dad lets do it again" the whole time!c ya :-waveBart [email protected]http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/bart_logo3.jpg
