Flight quits with error message

Featured Replies

About 10 minutes into a VFR flight climbing at 700fpm I get this message, " Can't load texture OSPREY. File not found. " I'm using the default aircraft. Flying from KHMZ to KCBE to practice navaids and holding patterns. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I'm new at this. I have build 2.5.240 loaded.

Rod,This happens with some installations - the Osprey file is the texture set for a flock of birds that can sometimes be seen within Fly! II. To keep this error from happening in the future, open your fly.ini file and edit the following line to:numBirdFlocksPerQuadTile=0This will keep the "flock" from being loaded and the apparently corrupt osprey file should no longer interfere with your flights.

Thanks. That cured the problem. The default was =2.
