Floating above ground

Featured Replies

I noticed the age old "floating" problem again. Here I am at the end of Rwy 24 at Cincinnati Blue Ash airport in Ohio. I am perfectly situated at the 6 end of the runway right centered, but as you can see from the outside views, I'm actually floating in mid-air. I have TerraScened the Cincinnati area and am using Wayne's Blue Ash airport.Any ideas?BTW: I noticed this too at HPN (White Plains, NY), another airport I have TerraScened and TerraModels from Scott Cannizaro (NYCFlyer).Help appreciated. I read through other posts about "flattening" the ground, but have no idea how to actually do it, nor do I understand why this is happening. -DK----David KohlFly! David,The flattening process is built into TerraScene 2.1 - when you render and slice the elevation mesh. Are you not rendering elevations? Did you use my Ohio Project TerraScene Pack to render this or did you use your own?Below see rwy 24 (attachment #5) at Blue Ash - the TerraScene is mine, the airport scenery by Paul "Bart" Simpson.

I rendered my own TerraScenery, but I am rendering elevations. Hmmm. Very strange. I'll try to re-create using your pack.Still doesn't explain the same problem at KPHN where I definately rendered the scenery using elevations (I've had this one in my stock for over a year).-DK----David KohlFly!
