TS Render Pack for Winston-Salem Uploaded (pic+)

Featured Replies

Continuing the Carolinas Project, I have uploaded the Winston-Salem render pack - this tile sits just to the east of the Johnson City tile.A special note - there are two anomolies in this scenery caused by elevation issues: the Ashe County airport near Jefferson could not be "flattened" properly by TerraScene - apparently it sits across the borders of some 1/4 tiles; also, there is a small tear in the scenery just east of the Smith Reynolds airport. Once the rest of the Carolinas Project is finished, I'll come back to this tile and see if the Flattenator can be used to fix both areas. If these items bother you, render the scenery without the elevation mesh, though the landscape will lose some of its vitality in the hills and mountain ridges.

Thanks Randall for all the great sceneries. I've downloaded all your ts packs and saved them on a CD.chris

You're welcome, Chris. It's great how the scenery packs themselves can be saved easily on backup material such as CDs. I think I backed up the Ohio Project Render Packs on 1 CD. (Compare that with the 7 CDs that it took to back up the rendered scenery...compressed).I'm now using DVDs to store scenery and files - and they're going to really improve "share-ability".
