.SMF error in certain area

Featured Replies

Hello Fellas, Went to start a flight tonight from KECG to KMRB, North Carolina to West Virginia. CTD with the error that it was looking for and couldn't load DFPA0740.SMF. Scenery in the area is from Randall and airports by Wayne. Any ideas? What is an .smf file?Thanks!JamesHmmm... Tastes Like Chicken!

James,An SMF file is a model file (references 3D model) and would normally be found in the MODEL directory. Of course, it could also be listed in a model scenery POD file, but be referencing a model which doesn't exist.

James, I believe the errror message you are getting refers to the First Flight Airport (FAA). Download and install the airport, the ID at AVSIM is 25772. You may also want to check and be sure you have installed both the POD and SCF file for each airport. If this doesn't solve the problem, let us know.

Thanks guys! I downloaded and installed FAA and it worked!JamesHmmm... Tastes Like Chicken!
