December 12, 200322 yr Hi everyone, I haven't used Fly! II in quite a while, but I decided tonight to fire it back up again. However, when I tried, I got "Can't find valid video mode" in a dialog box, and the program exits. I tried all possible combinations of settings on the graphics setup screen, but nothing worked. I have a 64MB onboard vido card, which used to work Fly! II just fine. I have DirectX 9 running. Any ideas?Richard
December 12, 200322 yr Author Richard,What is the onboard video? (nVidia?...something else?)When you upgraded to DirectX 9, did you reinstall or upgrade your video driver? Randall Rocke
December 13, 200322 yr The onboard video is a SiS730, and I have been to the web and found the latest drivers. I ran the DirectX troubleshooter, and everything worked fine.Richard
December 13, 200322 yr Author Which version of Fly! II (patch, etc.) were you running before? If you installed the latest patches, did you save the original TRI video drivers before applying the updates? Are you using the original render.ini file or an adaptation?Sorry about all the questions - since you were able to run Fly! II before, it has to be a setting and/or driver issue. Randall Rocke
