UAL Caravelle help

Featured Replies

Hello to all!I attempted my first Caravelle repaint and, well, it's quite a challenge to say the least! I know I still much left to "touch up," however, could someone please help me in locating the spot where the very lowest portion of the tail is located and how to line it up? Also, I can't seem to figure out how to make the nosecone white.Much thanks to Roman Smishkewych for providing us with this beautiful plane!John BauderFly! Hello John!Wow, looks good! there were only a few of those United caravelles! It even looks very 60's / 70's!. I hope this helps you out if not e-mail me!http://home.comcast.net/~romanrey/1.jpgroman

Hallo John ( and Roman),This is a great repaint and I am looking forward flying it.Roman gave you the answer on your question already .Nevertheless I have a hint for you , to solve a prblem like this in future. This is the method I always use.step 1Divide the TIF in four parts and give these parts different colors. Now the tif does not show the texture of the plane but only four colored rectangles.step 2Load this TIF in FLY and you`ll see a funny colored aiplane.Lets say the place you are looking for is the noise-cone.The color the nose-cone shows up in tells you in which quarter of the TIF the texture for this cone is located.step 3Now go back to the TIF and divide this part into ten or twenty smaller different colored rectangles.Load this TIF again and see in wich color the nose-cone shows up.step 4Go back to the TIF and find the color the cone was in and you`ll have the location.RegardsLeenhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/64616.jpg

Thank you to you both for your assistance! I'm off to work on this again! And, if I haven't mentioned it before, I love this plane!John BauderFly! II PCNew York, NYKLGA/[email protected]
