March 3, 200521 yr Dear Fellow Fly!ers,I just wanted to let you know that F2FD and ROTW have been actively working on Version 2.0 of the Dauphin for the past 6 months.The new version will include the following features/improvements:- SFIM 155D 3-axis automatic pilot system and SFIM CDV85 2-axis coupler which provides 4 pitch axis modes (barometric altitude hold "ALT", airspeed hold "A/S", vertical speed hold "V/S", and automatic capture and tracking of a Glide Slope "G/S") and 4 roll axis modes (selected heading hold "HDG", automatic capture and tracking of a VOR radial "VOR", automatic capture and tracking of a Localizer beam "V/L", and automatic capture and tracking of Localizer Back Course beam "B/C").- New DLL files for the wipers, searchlight, doors, steps, and gear that fix the CTD problem of version 1.1 when switching aircraft- New night textures by Leen de Jager- New strobe effects- New functionality that disables the nosewheel steering while in flight- Several electrical bugs have been fixed- New manual that will cover the configuration and use of the autopilotWhile initially only a new version of the OMN will be released, we will also try to "retrofit" the other variants.We will keep you posted...Regards,Alejandro AmigorenaPS: If you have real-life helicopter experience and would like to help us Beta test it, please contact me via Avsim's e-mailing system.http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/banneraa.jpg
March 3, 200521 yr This is good news. Perhaps FLY2 can become the "helicopter" sim.Imagine helicopter flight schoolsand the military with a copy of FLY. Somebody has to get TRI to agree to let us make "copies" of FLY2 for distribution so long as there's no money exchanged. In fact, once the dauphin is completed, our French folks should send a copy to the French army.tony
