Fly for MAC

Featured Replies

I got my G4 out of the box and installed the lastest OS to it. I put Fly for MAC on it and upgraded to the latest patch from Richard. Right now I am getting the following error message: "Unable to open pod systemstartup.pod" error. Any assistance would be appreciated.Charles Huckelbery

I finally got it to work, however, no joystick whatsoever. Any suggestions?Charles Huckelbery

I believe that the only joystick that is compatible with the Mac and FlyII is a Logitech Extreme 3D ProI have used this on my Mac with success.Paul

Hi Paul,Good to see your still around, I,m still flying out of EGCC using your wonderful scenery. What you upto these days?.......RegardsJohnps. ive only just this week purchased a PC(vista) for running FlyII, although all my development is still done on my trusty MAC.

Hi John,I have recently (two weeks ago, a retirement present from me to me) bought a MacBook Pro, and boy does it go!!I have put Bootcamp on it and it runs Windows XP like a dream, the only problem so far is Windows sometimes freezes, but recovers without the blue screen when re-booted.I installed FS9 and FlyII and FS9 runs at over 30fps with everything max out including Virtual Cockpit.FlyII (PC version) seems to run very well as long as the screen resolution is reduced before I launch FlyII, with no apparent problems yet, but time will tell. I suspect that the major problem will come from the drivers for the nVidia 8600 graphic card, which at the moment are in Beta only, but this will probably change when Apple launches the non-Beta version of Bootcamp.I still have your DC10 on one of my CDs I may give it a try later.PaulP.S. Sorry for the delay in replying.
