August 14, 200223 yr I have added an airport to the FlyII database. How do I update that database for Terrascene so that it recognizes the new airport?-----------------------Scott CannizzaroPPASEL-KTEB
August 14, 200223 yr Hi Scott,The TS2 database is built-in as are the databases for the coastlines etc. TS2 doesn't access the Fly! databases.I don't think that there is a way to edit them.Colin
August 14, 200223 yr Scott,Colin is right on this - if it didn't exist in TS before, it's not going to exist now, but that's OK. Use the Scenery Editor to locate the tile(s) the airport sits on, then select those tiles in TS for your scenery production. Randall Rocke
August 14, 200223 yr Randall,Here's my story....I added N07 (Lincoln Park, NJ) to the database. However, the elevation isn't quite right, it needs to be flattened to 182' msl. This airport is in the 203159 tile (NYC). I figured I would just re-terrascene the tile. The past 3 attempts at TS resulted in an error. Something about an invalid data file that TS is using. I thought it might be related to the database change. I have already TS'd this tile without incident. It looks much better than the TRI NYC terrascenery.I'll check the TS log when I get home to see if the errors are logged.-----------------------Scott CannizzaroPPASEL-KTEB
August 14, 200223 yr Scott,Did you by any chance save your image files for that area? If you did, you could just go ahead and reslice, telling TS to "use existing". If you're like me though, you've probably dumped them because they're so large to keep around. :-)The TS Log should give you some info. Randall Rocke
