I was considering reslicing my Grand Junction scenery at 8x8 to see how that changed the 3x3 and 5x5 element high detail grids in the gxx.trn in comparison with the 4x4 I had already done. I think it is impossible that the original 3x3 and 5x5 element grids would be retained when sliced at higher density, and that there would be a completely new set of 3x3, 5x5 element grids along with the 9x9 element grids. What determines the composition of the three types? I believe that is what you are asking. Good question.
