TS2 Help needed.

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have finally got TS2 up and running, both in OSX on my mac and in VPC. However, I am unable to find a copy of the PC version of Fly!2 around where I live, nor I am I able to find fly2slice in order to get the textures from Fly!2. Would the textures originally released for TS2 work, and where are they I cannot find them in Avsim's library. Thanks in advance.Keep 'em Flyin'Jesse

Jesse,If you are able to make a purchase online, Amazon says they have one copy of Fly!II left, though they also have a link to lower cost new and used copies of the program. I did see a couple left at my local software store here in Columbus, OH - want me to check and see if they're still there?fly2slice is part of the v230 beta patch (and now the v240 patch) for Fly!II. The slicer works within Fly!II to slice the scenery from TS2.1. When you are able to obtain Fly!II and patch it, the slicer will appear. The only way to get the textures is to install Fly!II, then use TS's install program to extract and create the texture sets from Fly!II. The original texture packs which were created by How in the World are no longer available. The original sets were also 15 m/p - the new textures from Fly!II are twice the resolution at 7.5 m/p.

Thanks Randall. I've got a couple of smaller software stores around that I have not had the time to check yet, if they don't have it I guess I'll have to get it off of Amazon. Once again thank you very much.Keep 'em Flyin'Jesse
