3DS Max Question

Featured Replies

Hi All :-) Just wondering if anyone could tell me, or point me to a tutorial on how to make the Glass on Aircraft with 3DS max. Thanks in advance, Steve.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/93965.jpg

G'day Steve, Jean Sabatiers tutorial Modelling Aircraft with 3D Max ( book 2) covers the creation of windows in the fuselage. Also see Jean's Aircraft Design in Fly! II tutorial part 1 section 10-12 for nameing conventions and texturing. Both can be downloaded from Simvol and are essential for anyone wanting to put an aircraft into Fly! II.Cheers,Roger @YSSY

G'day Steve,Slowoooooly slooowly, but getting there. :-)After getting back off holidays I had a change of mind and started making a stablemate for Tony's L-10.Pretty little thing; DH90 Dragonfly, see thread "work in progress" but it's a long way off from completion.Cheers,Roger @YSSY

By the way, Roger, how does one save a 3d max screen. I've looked up every conceivable key combination. I have a "polygon" correction to make that I can't seem to correct it, and I want to show it to some one. I know about using a screen capture software, but I understand that 3d max has its own key presses for such a task.tony

Use the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. It will copy the page to Clipboard. Bring up Clipboard and Photoshop or Paintshop, then copy/paste the page, and save it as a jpg. In Photoshop, all I have to do is to bring it up, choose "File-new", then paste.

Yes, also if you dont have these programs you can hit the print screen button, open windows paint.... click on edit... then paste. Now you can save your picture as you need it. Osc
