Near miss

Recommended Posts

I thought that ATC were supposed to give an adequate amount of time for slower planes to clear their airspace before clearing airliners for take off ! This one obviously didn't fancy hanging around. Fortunately, I wasn't buffeted too much by wake turbulence !My flight was from Hamilton AFB (seen in the picture) to Moffett Federal. One other interesting development occurred after I had landed at Moffett. An F16 was cleared for a flight to LONDON HEATHROW !!!Best Wishes,Chris Low,ENGLAND.

Earl,The one in the screenshot was a near miss, but the second one I just heard over the radio. Quite what an F16 was doing filing a flightplan to Heathrow is anyone's guess !Chris Low,ENGLAND.PS. I landed safely at Moffett, but I turned onto the wrong taxiway. After realising my error, I had to turn around and make a quick journey across the grass (avoiding a Beechjet in the process). The ground controller told me that he appreciated me wanting to mow the lawn, but that they paid someone to do this !
