Upcoming Racing Challenge

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,we just figured it's time to give all of you a short overlook of our newest project: Ansgar, Jon, and me will very soon (hopefully latest next weekend) take you to the air races at Reno!If that isn't the right playing field for the Gee-Bee, the Mustang racer, or any other fast FU3 plane, then I don't know...http://www.skyaker.de/bilder/Totalehome.jpgThe FU3 challenge will take the races to Arlington and you will race in three different classes (Sport, Unlimited, and Jet) against 8 computer opponents with varying strenght (depending on your best scores)!http://www.skyaker.de/bilder/Turnclose.jpghttp://www.skyaker.de/bilder/Geebeepylon.jpgRace around our course which is exactly the same as to be found in Reno! Try to overtake the computer planes, but watch for collisions!http://www.skyaker.de/bilder/Overtake.jpgSo just hold on another couple of days - then we all will truly be able to boast in this Forum and compare our best speeds with the different birds!http://www.skyaker.de/bilder/sun.jpgBlue Skies,Steffen

That looks interesting! I've been playing with Mustangs for a couple of days and might be ready for this :-)Hans Petter

Hello Hans Petter,"That looks interesting..." is a clear understatement Hans. ;-)Steffen has written here another clear "MASTERPIECE of an FU3 challenge"!!! :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpyI had the big chance to make first beta tests and used this chance a lot the last day

Now I found it,those guys interested in the Racing can start to check out www.airrace.orgThat's the official Reno Air Race site with information on racing classes, rules and courses. All this stuff is implemented as good as possible in the upcoming challenge. To give you another idea, you might want to compare the second screenshot in my original post with the official picture from the Reno Air Races 2002: http://www.airrace.org/gallery/2002/10sept...16_a_a1_200.php:)Willing beta-testers should contact me directly via email - we hope to make the official release this weekend!Blue Skies, Steffen

Sweet!!! Cant wait to download this!Later,Jim
